Trees/ Árboles

Tree

a tree represents life
always watching
seeing our faults
knowing our mistakes
speaking to us
as the wind rushes through them
we never listen
they give to us
a shelter
a source of our survival
that we take for granted
we cut down life
not even thinking of our wrong
we use them in their death
instead of giving them back to nature
to help the earth
what makes us so ignorant?
we don't listen
as they whisper the secrets of their wisdom to us
we dont want to know our wrong
we prefer to pretend
and as we do
we become destroyers
of what we could never live without
we say life is precious
yet don't see the irony
our selfishness destroys the circle of life
we make it into a monopoly for our kind
we even ruin our own selves
always taking never giving back
a tree is life
so are we
only we are stupid
and they are wise

Árbol
un árbol representa la vida
siempre vigilando
viendo nuestras fallas
conociendo nuestros errores
no queremos saber nuestro mal
preferimos fingir
